Student Feedback from Joshua Bible Study

Student Feedback from Joshua Bible Study

Congratulations! You are keeping your commitment to prepare yourself for God’s Ministry. The first six books of the Old Testament is a picture (type) of New Testament Salvation. The study to this point is the foundation to all key themes of the Bible, with the major one being Jesus and Him Crucified!

After each study module, we ask the student to take a little time to analyze both what they have learned and for any suggestions that they have for improvement to the course. It is our desire that we make the course the best it can be for the next student.

As was mentioned above, the study from Genesis to Joshua has laid the foundation (a picture of redemption). We will now study the gospels which show us the real (anti-type) redemption story, where Joshua completes the shadow (type) or picture of redemption, however God is unchanging therefore we need to understand the Old to interpret the New.

1. Did you gain any new understanding of God and His Word in these first three modules? If so list a few.

2. List a few things that you like about how we have arranged the study.

3. Meditate upon the study so far and list any Biblical principles that we seemed to have left out or misrepresented.

4. Give us a few suggestions for improvement (structure and/or content).

5. Tell me a little more about yourself, your calling, your ministry goals, etc?

6. Typology is a very important concept of grasping a consistent understanding of the one story, “Jesus and Him Crucified”. Therefore, review the whole redemptive theme from Exodus to Joshua and draw a contrast with New Testament doctrine using whatever God shows you. For example:

Old Testament (Picture /shadow) -> New Testament (Real)
Egypt -> sin
Pharaoh -> Satan
other Old Testament -> New Testament

7. Relate Joshua 1:5-9 to a counseling situation.

8. Remember, if taking course for a counseling certificate, please do counseling lesson 3. Also read the Joshua doctrine and theology lessons. .

9. Was there a question or questions that troubled you (confused wording, leading question, etc)? If so, please list questions and give a brief comment.

I look forward to reading your comments and then I will forward you the first lesson from the Synoptic Gospel study or you can find them on the following link.
