Ministry Student Comments
Four Soils Ministry ask each student to provide feedback as they progress through our Bible School program.
Below are some of our students’ comments:
“I liked seeing how the passages in Genesis link with the New Testament. I’ve never linked Isaac’s sacrifice with the death of Jesus Christ. … how the blessing of Judah can be traced to the book of Revelation. I’ve never saw this unity before and found it quite exciting.”
“I liked the depth of study of the book of Genesis and learning about the differences of Calvinism & Armenianism and how they play a role in the doctrines of different denominations”
“ I found myself so excited and inspired as I explore the chapters reading, understanding them, while finding the answers for each question ..I encountered many new terminologies and expressions in the course, beginning in Creation, the Fall, the concept of evolution, the doctrines of Calvinism and Arminianism, typology, foreknowledge of God, the free will of man, about
..Abraham His everlasting covenant with him, Thank you so much Pastor...”
“I learned quite a bit with this study…typology..for one. ….I learned how many different people see the bible and understand God’s word from the different theologies (covenant, biblical, systematic etc) From Calvinism to Arminianism. …. Seeing how the entire bible correlates to itself. Seeing Gods plan from the beginning all the way through. ..I never realized the “mystery” was from the beginning. ..I learned how to put together a sermon and how to really pull it all together from God. I found myself constantly saying “wow” throughout all of this and just feeling a wonderful bond with God.”
“I learned that there is a big difference in a "bible study" and studying the bible…... From the very beginning God knew He would send His son, and it was fascinating to learn how He reveals these things to us”.
“My mind has expanded concerning bible issues; learning about the different types of theology is great;… learning how the covenant was passed from one generation to the next by the faith of Abraham”
“It was good to refresh myself with theology language and make use of the Internet to find the definitions for words like homiletics, exegesis, and hermeneutics. … Systematic theology, Covenant theology, Biblical theology, and Dispensationlism and then applying them to the text. Quite challenging”
